Everything You Need to Know to Run the 2023 Porto Half Marathon

Porto, a city full of historical charm, unique architecture and delicious gastronomy, is the perfect setting to explore while participating in a new edition of its Half Marathon.

Spectacular course

The race route allows you to enjoy the most emblematic landscapes and monuments of the city. From the starting point to the finish line at Avenida Don Carlos, you will pass by iconic places such as the Dom Luís I Bridge, the Ribeira district, the Casa da Música, the stone piers, Gaia and the Afonso de Albuquerque Avenue, among others, before turning around in Douro Marina.

In addition, the running party does not end with the half marathon, because the organisation also contemplates a shorter 5-kilometre race for more casual runners, so that everyone in Porto can wear their running shoes on September 17, 2023.

Every step you take will lead you through cobblestone streets, tree-lined avenues and magnificent cityscapes, giving you a unique and visually stunning experience. In addition, the course makes it possible to run fast and try to beat your personal best, as it's mostly flat with just a few small inclines that shouldn't be a significant challenge for runners.

By the way, the Porto Half Marathon has a maximum duration of 3 hours. So you already have a clear objective to aim for.
