Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6, an excellent choice for any runner looking for a versatile, comfortable and responsive shoe.

Hello runners. I'm back with another review and this time I've been able to test the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6, a super interesting shoe from the American brand and that comes to compete head to head with models from other brands in the segment of mixed shoes. What do we mean by mixed shoe? It is a model that can be used for almost any type of training, but especially the faster ones, and that can also be used in competition. I'm going to tell you more about a model that has caught my attention and that I'm sure you're going to love.

What kind of runners are the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6 for?

The Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6 arefor runners with a neutral stride and an intermediate weight (we would say up to 80 kilos in men and 65-70 kilos in women). If you are looking for a shoe for daily training and quality, but also to compete, these shoes are for you. As a complement to these data, other data of interest are that it has a drop of 8 millimeters and a weight of 281 grams in its male version and 238 grams in its female version.

For what distances do we recommend the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6?

In several outings of different distances with them on, I have been able to see how these shoes are very versatile, so you can use them for both short and long distances. They are ideal for running paces between 4:30 and 5:30 minutes per kilometer.

And yes, if you are wondering if you can run a marathon with them, the answer is a resounding YES.

What we liked the most about the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6

What I liked most about the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6 is the UA HOVR cushioning. This cushioning is reactive, reduces impact and returns energy, which helped propel me forward. In addition, I found the seamless mesh upper to be really comfortable, breathable, lightweight and durable - a real winner!

This upper is so light and translucent that you can even see the socks from the outside.

Something that you are sure to like and that is perhaps one of its most positive points is its price. The starting RRP is 120€ but you can already find them for less than 70€ in the big European E-Commerce.

The truth is that it is a range where we can find many models of different brands:

In RUNNEA you have the reviews and videos of each of them, so you can decide having all the options on the table.

Upgrade opportunities for the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6

Although the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6 are a very complete shoes, there is always room for improvement. In this model one thing that has shocked me has been the feeling of being an overly snug shoe. Let me explain. I have the same size for all brands and when I put on this model, and despite being the same size in centimeters as the rest of my shoes, I had the feeling that it was short.

I think it's because of the upper mesh that being so thin gives that feeling. But if you are one of those who like roominess I would tell you to take half a size up.

Final conclusions of the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6

In summary, the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 6 is an excellent choice for any runner looking for a versatile, comfortable and responsive shoe. Whether for daily workouts, long distance races or even marathons, the Sonic 6 will not disappoint.
