Runner a question, when buying your sports glasses:

Are you one of those who believe that they are only aesthetic and a mere sports accessory without importance, or on the contrary that they are an important element for the health of your eyes?

If you are clear that health is not to be trifled with, you have to try the new Adivista glasses from the adidas eyewear collection. They are super light and offer an enveloping view. They are ultra-light and adapt to the face very well because they are very adjustable, and their design allows them to fit comfortably under the cap.

Adidas Eyewear Adivista

Athletes of all disciplines know that adidas eyewear is a good choice when it comes to protecting our eyes as it offers the highest technological features such as flex zones, LST, wraparound protection, tri.FIT..., something that is valued when practicing our favorite sports.

The first thing to take into consideration is that adidas eyewear glasses are not sold in sports stores but in opticians, always under the advice of a professional who will assess the particular needs and circumstances of sports practice to recommend the model and the type of lens best suited in each case.

This new model stands out for having a special frame and its advanced technology and multiple adjustment possibilities make it a model to be taken into account by all running enthusiasts. Thus the TRI.FIT system with 3 different height adjustments guarantees not only a perfect fit, but also the possibility of compensating the angle of the light rays depending on the position in which the sun is or if you are wearing a cap or visor or not, this is ergonomics!

The lenses of these Adivista are produced by Silhouette International in Austria considered in the world of optics as one of the best manufacturers of lenses in Europe, which ensures the best vision during training and sports competition.

What I liked about adidas Eyewear Adivista

An extremely wraparound design ensures a very wide campo of vision, maximum protection to the eye area and a clear vision, its lightness and adaptability. In addition they are now available as they are also compatible with this model, the Vario lenses (photochromic).

These lenses automatically adapt to the different light conditions that occur for example when running in the natural environment when going from sun to shade, going into a forest or even running at night, offering an ideal vision in any situation.

With these new Vario tuned lenses , there is no need to change lenses manually, as the new photochromic lens filters change automatically and progressively depending on the brightness, going from clear to dark in a few seconds. The new vario lenses allow a light transmission from 0 to 92%, changing from category 0 to category 3. In other words, they are ideal for running day or night, offering 24-hour protection.

The extremely wrap-around design ensures a very wide campo of vision, maximum protection to the eye area and clear vision at all times.

The lenses are made of polycarbonate with Vision Advantage finish that resists scratches very well as they are multi-layer coated and can withstand strong impacts. They meet the requirements of optical quality category 1 and guarantee full protection against UVA, UVB and UVC rays.

Available in two different sizes, ideal to fit both men's and women's skulls allowing for a perfect fit, which is especially noticeable when trail running on technical terrain. Allows for multiple customization options, with four nose bridge width and height adjustment options and the temples are adjustable in three positions depending on the position of the sun and whether or not you are wearing a cap or visor. LST (Light Stabilizing Technology) protects the eyes against distracting reflections and sharpens perception in all light conditions, eliminates reflections from shiny surfaces to improve contrast vision and avoid reflections caused by water, asphalt or metallic elements.

These lenses are ideal for runners with vision problems, as the RXO prescription systems allow the lensesto be adjusted and graduated to individual needs.

As a novelty this year we have been able to test in these Adivista also the vario lenses (photochromic) "one day - one lens".

Photochromic lenses

As Adidas Sport eyewear says, Mother Nature is unpredictable and surprises us with continuous changes in weather and light. Therefore, the new vario (photochromic) lenses automatically adapt to changing light conditions, offering ideal vision in any situation.

No more manually changing lenses: the new photochromic lens filters change automatically and progressively depending on the brightness, going from clear to dark in a few seconds. The new vario lenses allow a light transmission from 0 to 92%, changing from category 0 to category 3. In other words, ideal for running in a forest area or late in the day, the new vario lenses are a good choice for optimal vision, maximum protection and 24-hour performance.

When it comes to buying your sports glasses, you decide whether they will remain an unimportant sports accessory or an important element for the health of your eyes. In my case, after trying them while running, it's clear to me that they will be my running glasses and my daughter's during this winter and night workouts.
