Nike Pegasus 38, it's not that complicated to name a sneaker, is it? There is no need for a strident name, with unpronounceable surnames that those of us who are not very good at English, find it hard to even imagine how to pronounce it. Well, they are already here and we wanted to bring you the first opinions of these Nike Pegasus 38 that we have been able to gather from some of those who have already tried them.

It has not been an easy task, the Pegasus is a shoe revered and admired by almost everyone (including myself), but you know that we like to show both sides of the product. What we like, what they stand out for? But also those points of improvement. Which there always are. If there weren't, would 38 editions of a Pegasus make sense?

Nike Pegasus 38: Opinions in the specialized media in the U.S.

Nike Pegasus 38 reviews

We traveled to the American continent to get the first impressions of those who have already been able to squeeze the model of the winged horse and give their first opinions.

The opinion of BELIVE IN THE RUN

The first description that we find in Belive in the Run is that there are very few changes compared to the Nike Pegasus 37 Subtle changes, they call it, that seek to improve those small deficiencies that were found in the previous model:

First, unwanted heel movement. The fit of the Pegasus 37 had lost effectiveness compared to the Nike Pegasus 36. A less controlled heel on landing that now regains greater control due to the work of the insole, a design of the area and materials that better support the silhouette of our rearfoot.

Secondly, an upper that reminds us of the shape of the last of the Nike Kiger 7 (which we loved by the way). It's a silhouette that has a lot of similarities to the Pegasus 36.

The opinion of PODIUM RUNNER

Podium Runner, another of the USA's running material referents, has noticed two details (although they agree that they are subtle changes compared to the Pegasus 37).

It is the tongue. It is now wider, longer, more comfortable and softer. Adding comfort to an all-purpose shoe like the Pegasus 38 is always welcomed by the general public.

Secondly they look at the lacing, small tweaks in search of a better fit and responding to the combination of the React foam in the heel and the Air Zoom unit in the forefoot offer a solid ride and a nice boost in the toe.

Is it worth switching to the Nike Pegasus 38?

I have to be honest, I liked the Pegasus 36 better than the Pegasus 37. It's true that I didn't find big differences, but I did have the feeling that the leap in the model wasn't forward. Maybe they were faster, but they had lost some comfort. And Pegasus is synonymous with equal parts comfort and speed. When throughout the history of this franchise that balance was unbalanced, things didn't go so well. And that's why we're so excited about this Nike Pegasus 38. Because it goes back to the origins of that 26 that was one of the best we've tried in years.

There are still some doubts to be cleared up, such as durability or design (they are not as surprising as the Pegasus 36) but Nike will surely get it right with their color combinations.

Until then, Nike Pegasus 38 will continue to be a running shoe for popular runners up to 80 kilos. For all kinds of distances, for almost all kinds of paces and for almost all kinds of terrain. And all this for around 120... But remember to compare at RUNNEA to find the best price.
