Details of Vivosmart 3

Use Fitness , Running

At the end of this month of May we will be able to enjoy the excellence of the GarminVivosmart 3 smartwatch, an intelligent activity bracelet with heart rate sensor on the wrist1 and fitness control tools, which presents some outstanding evolutions with respect to the previous model of the range, the Vivosmart HR - leaving aside, for example, the RH nomenclature - and in relation to the first of the family, which, let's not forget, had as its main attraction its Bluetooth connectivity and mobile notifications.

GarminsVivosmart 3 has a more sports-oriented vision, focusing on the recording of activities such as weights, running on a treadmill or cardio, and on the control of our physical form through parameters such as V02max (it is presented as the first activity monitor capable of stimulating your maximum V02) or the age that one could have according to their physical form, putting in your hand that you can lower the estimate, yes, "with hard work". To do so, it processes the heart rate data recorded on the wrist to provide a better reference of your current physical condition.

Complete workout

Garmin vívosmart 3 includes a strength training activity that incorporates an automatic rep counting feature. It tracks your exercises, reps, sets and rest time, and allows you to leave the notebook at home.

And is that from Garmin want to control your activity and your achievements is very easy with this device. The activity monitor automatically synchronizes with Garmin Connect, its virtual sports community, where you can check your progress, share it on social networks and participate in challenges. Garmin Connect is free and available for computers and smartphones through the Garmin Connect Mobile app.

This heart rate monitor also includes Move IQ, which automatically detects when you start an activity and allows you to receive smart notifications directly to your wrist. It is also capable of monitoring wellness with its stress monitor and aspects such as steps, floors climbed, sleep.... and much more!

So, for example, the Elevate1 wrist heart rate sensor allows you to study your heart rate throughout the day and night, and access fitness and wellness monitoring tools.
This smart activity wristband also measures the intensity of activity through Intensity Minutes that are measured against goals recommended by leading health organizations.
This wristband constantly monitors heart rate variability, i.e. the variations between heartbeats. This is very interesting, as it lets you know how your body reacts to physical and emotional stress. You can check your current stress response on the device or sync it with Garmin Connect to see how your stress levels change throughout the day.

Water resistant

Another highlight is that this is a device that you can take with you while you're in the shower or swimming, as it is water resistant and you don't have to leave it lying around.

As for the design, it is noteworthy that the button disappears from the RH version to resume a fully tactile control. Similarly, the screen goes from an LCD to an OLED that is brighter. In addition, from Garmin has opted to give this model a shorter and narrower screen, which happens to be disabled by default, and now happens to be activated from the turn of the wrist or through two touches on the screen.

Discreet but elegant

Garmin describes this model as "discreet, elegant and intelligent", capable of complementing your style "without overshadowing it", allowing you to be trendy and, at the same time, be a device "master of subtlety", since the hidden monitor screen is only visible when you decide. When you're not using it, it's hidden in the device. "It's the perfect companion for the office, the gym, the pool and anywhere else," the brand says.

Another interesting aspect of the Vivosmart 3 is that it presents a new profile for strength training. In this way we can automatically record, whenever we involve the arms, the repetitions of the strength exercises we do and the pauses between them. All of this is aimed at making training sessions even easier.

In terms of size and weight, this new Vivosmart model has a smaller volume (18.5x9.8 mm) and a lower weight (20 grams) compared to the Vivosmart RH. If we analyze the memory, we can see that it has seven timed activities and fourteen days of daily activity recording, including the aforementioned pulse over 24 hours. On the other hand, the battery life is five days.

From Garmin also emphasize that this new smartwatch also has smart features that give you the ability to check emails, text messages, social media alerts and more, right on your wrist. "So you can keep up with your busy lifestyle in the most convenient way," they tell us, you can even control your music or your VIRB action camera, which is sold separately, with just a few taps!
Garmin s Vivosmart 3 heart rate monitor will be available in black (small/medium and large) and purple (small/medium), with a UK price of 149.99 euros.
