Garmin vivomove hr

Garmin VivomoveHR looks like a traditional analog watch but has the functionality of a smartwatch. It is with this combination of features that Garmin hopes to appeal to those who like the idea of wearable technology but pay too much attention to aesthetics.

VivomoveHR combines an analog watch with an LED readout that seems to pop right out of the traditional dial, overlaying that touchscreen display on top of the analog watch. Frankly, it looks pretty cool, according to Garmin, the VivomoveHR can receive full vibration notifications via iOS or Android, plus touch controls on the watch. The VivomoveHR comes preloaded with activity profiles including walking, running and strength training, unfortunately cycling doesn't seem to be on the list.

Smartphone connectivity

For those who like to integrate all their apps and devices and stay connected, the VivomoveHR will vibrate to alert you about incoming emails, text messages and calls according to your setting preferences. You can also receive app alerts and social media updates, as well as control the music on your smartphone. It even offers you the ability to send an alert to help you locate your smartphone if you can't remember where you put it.

As with other Garmin wearable technologies, the HRVivomove will automatically sync with the Garmin Connect mobile app if you have it loaded on your smartphone. This allows it to record information such as workout data, sleep patterns and stress levels over time.

Features

The device will also count daily steps, stair climbs, sleep time and more, plus it provides periodic reminders to get up and move if theHRVivomove detects you've been sitting for too long.

The Vivomove HR includes Garmin MoveIQ, a feature that can combine certain movements with certain types of activity, such as walking, running, cycling and swimming, and tag them as such on your daily timeline.

You can also set the device to start timing those activities automatically once they are detected, so you don't have to start and stop your device when your workout starts and stops.

Heart Rate Monitor

The heart rate sensor can also measure heart rate variability and stress levels. For anyone trying to lead a calmer life, the stress tracking feature will be at your disposal, this feature tracks heart rate variability (HRV) and uses this estimate to know how stressed you are during the day.

It also offers guided breathing exercises to help address stress on the spot. HRV data can also be tracked over a longer period of time with Garmin Connect, making it easier to detect patterns of stress levels.

The SmartWatch mode battery life is up to 5 days while in watch mode it is up to 2 weeks.
