The Brooks Ghost 11 GTX is the waterproof version of the Brooks Ghost 11, a shoe that we have already had the opportunity to test at Runnea. Between both silhouettes there is only one difference and that is the incorporation of the Goretex fabric to this new version, which is intended for runners who dare to run in wet or rainy terrain. And whose main difference is the GTX, which is going to keep your feet dry throughout your run as you step in the same way as its main version. So if you are a runner who is always looking to run with the same model, here you have a second version with which you will be able to run in the rainiest days with your feet well protected.

Main features of the Brooks Ghost 11 GTX

Like its main version, this model has important features to develop a running shoe with great lightness and cushioning. Therefore, the main change compared to previous versions focuses on the midsole, which has been placed in the heel area DNA Loft foam, responsible for providing a softer tread in the rear area. In addition, DNA BioMoGo compound has been used in the midsole, whose main benefit for the runner is to improve the responsiveness and durability of this shoe.

On the upper, accompanying the GTX are still present the protective pads that improve the fit and smoothness in the race with these shoes from Brooks. The GTX models we have seen to date feature two colorways. The first with orange accents on the black base color, very similar to the main version. And a second combination with pink details focused on the female audience, since this silhouette is available in unisex form. They vary in weight, standing at around 334 grams for the men's version, and 294 grams for the women's shoe.

Differences between the Brooks Ghost 11 and the Ghost 10

Like their predecessors, the Brooks Ghost 10, they still maintain that high 12 mm drop. The main improvement between the two models is that in this latest version the heel area has been completely improved for a smoother and more stable ride. They still have that secure and flexible fit with its classic mesh upper that offers great elasticity. It is a shoe that can be used for long runs, and is mainly focused on training.
