In the coming months, probably during the month of October 2023, a new version of one of the most cushioned training models of the Happy Run brand will be released, nothing more and nothing less than the Brooks Ghost 16.

The Brooks Ghost 16 running shoe will present interesting updates compared to the current version, which is already one of the models preferred by runners for their daily training on asphalt.

What are the expectations for the new Brooks Ghost 16?

The Brooks Ghost 16, a running shoe from Brooks, is expected to have a lighter and more breathable engineered mesh design for the upper of the shoe and maintain the 3D FIT fit that allows all runners to fit into the shoes perfectly, while maintaining the comfort needed for our workouts. The fit is also expected to be roomier and more flexible in this new version.

The midsole of the Brooks Ghost 16 will surely feature the same compound as the Brooks Revel 7, the BioMoGO DNA, EVA foam that provides dynamic cushioning in our daily workouts without penalizing that reactivity and speed needed for those slightly faster paces. Thus, it seems that the current DNA LOFT v2 will be replaced by this new foam.

As for the outsole of the Brooks Ghost 16 , no major changes are expected with respect to the Brooks Ghost 15, with a similar design and rubber reinforcements in the areas of greatest impact with the ground to provide durability and also perfect traction for running on asphalt or even on compacted soil without problems in this aspect.

The drop of the Brooks Ghost 16 may be another of the novelties of the new version as it will be reduced by 2mm, from the current 12mm to 10mm in the new version, a drop more in line with current market trends in which a reduction of the drops of the daily training shoes is appreciated.

Ideal Brooks Ghost 16 runner

The Brooks Ghost 16 will continue to be one of the training shoes par excellence for medium to heavy runners who prioritize comfort and cushioning over fast paces. Neutral runners and heel runners will be able to get the most out of this all-weather shoes without any problems.

The weight of the Brooks Ghost 16 will be very similar to the current model, perhaps a little higher, as it will weigh approximately 290 grams in the men's range and 261 grams in the women's range.
