Brooks Trace 2, features

The ideal runner of the Brooks Trace 2

This second version developed by Brooks is designed to meet the demands of those runners who want their start in the runner universe and need a shoe for a neutral step. It is a model for daily training that will be useful for running at easy paces, approximately above 4:45-5min/km.

However, thanks to its lightness and dynamism, it will be an interesting option for use on more intense days and even in our first 5 or 10 km competitions. We can also consider running a half marathon with them if we have the required experience, since we will not lack cushioning.

Technical specifications of the Brooks Trace 2

The main attraction of the Brooks Trace 2 is its comfort and smoothness in each step. The American company incorporates the BioMoGo DNA cushioning system so that the impact against the asphalt is softer and, in addition, responsive. It also brings with it the Segmented Crash Pad technology that reduces the impact and leads the foot to make a correct transition from the rearfoot to the forefoot.

Brooks Trace 2, upper

The upper maintains the same design and finishes as the first version, the Brooks Trace, with a very breathable and lightweight upper, which together with the 3D Fit print, helps the foot remain stable and allows air to enter the entire inner area. The American house makes a nod to sustainability by including 45.3% recycled materials in the upper.

The design and compound of the outsole remain unchanged, repeating the same design of its predecessors. The outsole has a higher density rubber in the forefoot area and a lower presence in the heel area, where the DNA foam is noticeably visible.

Brooks Trace 2, outsole

The Brooks Trace 2 weighs 244 grams in the men's version and 215 grams in the women's version. They are designed with a 12mm drop and are currently available to runners for an RRP of 110€, but we recommend that you compare prices at RUNNEA to get the best price.
