Asics is a brand with an excellent reputation when it comes to Running shoes. So much so, that they have become a reference brand within this category. In fact, for runners, it has the same reputation as other world-renowned brands such as Adidas, New Balance and Nike.

In the mid-range of Asics Running shoes, we can find several models with promising features, such as a high level of durability, good cushioning, and more. Among the models that enjoy these features is the Oberon 7.

The Asics Gel Oberon 7 stands out for the good price-quality ratio it maintains. Even though it is not a top of the range model, it brings interesting features. Users of this Asics model have emphasized the comfort and good grip it offers.

It is designed for runners who train on hard surfaces such as asphalt and concrete, as it is on these terrains where it can offer a better response.

The design is designed so that the foot has the ideal fit in the shoe, avoiding those free spaces that increase the chances of injury. By having an ideal fit, running becomes much more comfortable, due to the feeling of freedom it provides.

Another virtue of the Asics Gel Oberon 7 is the excellent traction provided by the outsole. It is made of Flex rubber, so greater flexibility is guaranteed. In addition, the outsole of this model comes with Asics patented technologies, to offer a better grip than what we are used to seeing in sneakers in this price range.

One of these technologies is the Trusstic System, which is a piece located on the outside/center of the outsole, made of polyurethane, designed to significantly improve stability and prevent twisting.
Another Asics patented technology that the Oberon 7 incorporates in its design is the Ahar. "Ahar" is the name it is called, based on the acronym for Asics High Abrasion Rubber. It is a material designed by Asics, placed in specific locations on the outsole to increase the durability of the outsole.

Finally, the GEL technology, which is part of the model's name. These are plates made of silicone, located in the front and rear of the shoe, to provide greater cushioning, reducing the strong impacts that occur throughout the body in each step while running.
The inner sole is well endowed, too. Made of EVA rubber, it provides softness and comfort. In addition, the Solyteยฎ midsole, also made of EVA rubber, offers more comfort and cushioning. It has a neutral design, i.e. it does not favor pronation or supination, but has a somewhat flat design, for normal feet.
One disadvantage of the Oberon 7 is that it is not that light, although it is not that heavy either. An average size weighs about 335 grams, although it varies depending on the size.
