The Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX is a new waterproof trail runningshoe that offers a dynamic and cushioned tread with superior grip and foot support.
The Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX is a trailrunningshoe that is specially designed to run on those more complicated terrains or with greater technical difficulties that we can find in the mountains.
Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEXORE-TEX main features
Salomon launches this new model of shoe that has beendeveloped in the French Alps, tested and proven in all types of terrain, from undulating to rocky slopes or single tracks where rain and mud is present for much of the year.
The upper of the shoe contains the waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane to keep our feet dry and comfortable at all times, even in muddy and technically challenging terrain.
The midsole integrates a comfortable flexible compound that provides momentum and rebound while softening the impact of our footsteps with the mountain surface on which we run.
Grip, in addition to waterproofing, is another great feature of the Salomon Thundercross Gore-Tex, the grip of the shoe is achieved through a sole that has prominent lugs that guarantee excellent grip and traction even in the most difficult terrain conditions.
Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX Technical Specifications
In the technical specifications section of the shoe we highlight two important data to always keep in mind when choosing a shoe. The weight, the Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX has a weight of 300 grams in the men's version and 265 grams in the women's version which, for a shoe with a waterproof membrane, is lower than other shoes of similar characteristics that we can find in the market.
The second important data is the drop of the shoe, specifically 4mm with profiles of 31mm in the back and 27mm in the front of the shoe. Finally, also note the depth of the lugs on the outsole, 5mm deep to provide the necessary grip on wet or muddy terrain.
In short, we have in the Salomon Thundercross GORE-TEX a trailrunning shoe designed for the most technically complicated terrain that we can also use in our trekking excursions in the mountains and that, thanks to the incorporation of the waterproof Gore-Tex membrane, we will be able to run without getting wet on rainy days or on wet or muddy terrain.
