ASICS Gel Cumulus 14

The Asics Cumulus 14 is a high-end shoe with very good cushioning and provides excellent stability to the footprint. It is suitable for neutral or supinator runners up to 85 kilograms. Suitable for long training runs, half marathons and even marathons at slow paces around 4:45 upwards. Also available in special width (2E).

• Discrete eyestay lacing: New lacing where each lacing hole works independently of the others, providing better lacing tension on each part of the instep, and maximum support and comfort.
• 3M Reflective: 3M Scotchlite (registered trademark of the 3M Company) is a reflective material that improves visibility when the day gets dark.
• Solyte: Solyte is a proprietary cushioning system that provides an exceptionally lightweight midsole with excellent shape recovery and durability.
• DuraSponge: DuraSponge is a blown AHAR rubber compound that provides enhanced cushioning and durability in the forefoot.
• ASICS High Abrasion Resistance Rubber (AHAR) is a very solid rubber compound used in the areas of the outsole where the heaviest contact occurs.
• ComforDry sockliner: ComforDry sockliner provides optimal cushioning, creating a cooler, drier and healthier environment inside the shoe.
• I.G.S.: The Impact Guidance System (IGS) is a design philosophy for ASICS. Its goal is for all components of the rearfoot, midfoot and forefoot of the shoe to work together effectively so that the body functions naturally. ASICS designers study how to complement, without correcting, the movement of the legs and feet.
• AHAR: ASICS High Abrasion Resistance Rubber (AHAR) is a very strong rubber compound used in the areas of the sole where the heaviest contact occurs, such as the heel. It helps reduce excessive wear.
• Duotech warm: DuoTech Warm technology has been specially designed for hot days. Thanks to its perfect moisture management it keeps the wearer dry and comfortable. This not only increases comfort but also performance. It is part of ASICS' revolutionary DuoTech technology range, which offers comfortable and high quality fabrics for adverse environmental conditions (cold, heat, rain and wind).
• Removable Sockliner: EVA insole moldable to the shape of the foot, which can be removable to accommodate an orthopedic insole.
• Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL: The ASICS Gel system is probably the most famous of all ASICS innovations. For added shock absorption, the Gel is strategically placed in the midsole of the shoe. The Gel cushioning system uses different components. Depending on its function, the Gel incorporates silicone encapsulated in polyurethane. The shape is also designed according to its specific function and position.
• Guidance Line: Guidance Line is a visible grooved Guidance Line in the middle of the sole that follows from the toes to the center. The result is a platform that facilitates the fit, creating a smoother transition from heel strike to toe-off with each step. Automatic line guidance helps runners achieve a natural and efficient gait, especially over longer distances.
