Asics Gecko XT, the first trail shoe with FlyteFoam

As we have already mentioned, one of the strong points of the Asics Gecko XT is its innovative FlyteFoam midsole. This type of compound is one of Asics Running's star materials, which is already included in its most iconic models for asphalt, such as the Asics Gel Nimbus 20, the Asics Metarun, and the Asics Gel Kayano 24, among others. In this way, the Japanese brand seeks to enhance the performance of its trail running shoes.

GeckoTrac outsole, traction and grip

In the upper of the Asics Gecko XT, Asics designers have chosen to implement a technical mesh that seeks to offer more comfort and flexibility. It is noteworthy that they include an adjustment on the inside of the instep area in order to increase comfort in the footstrike.

Another detail to take into account in the Gecko XT is located in the lacing system. Here a practical inner pocket is incorporated into the tongue of the shoe to store the laces, which reinforces the aesthetic aspect of the model.

In addition to the innovative FlyteFoam midsole, the main feature of the Asics Gecko XT is the GeckoTrac outsole. This system is characterized by adapting to any type of terrain, offering superior traction and grip, even on wet surfaces. Thanks to this compound, the Japanese manufacturer also increases the durability of this all-terrain shoe. The Gecko XT also comes with a rock protection plate, as well as a new toe cap reinforcement. The result is to run with more safety and confidence in mountain terrain.
