Here are what for me have been the 3 best Running shoes that I have tested in 2013:

  • As racing shoes I have worn the Zoot Ultra TT 6.0 model that has experienced in recent years six evolutions and has established itself as one of the best options to compete in triathlon. With respect to the 5.0 model with which I also competed the previous season includes some improvements such as the use of a new more breathable fabric throughout the upper and micro perforations that facilitate perspiration and thus the cooling of the foot in the summer. It is a very comfortable shoe that fits like a glove, it is the seamless upper itself that wraps the foot as if it were a compression sock and you want to wear them bareback, of course ... they remind us in many details that this is a thoroughbred model, a 100% triathlon. Another detail that has been improved is the placement of the heel strap transversely instead of vertically, making it possible to put on the Ultra 6.0 in the T2 in a faster way by facilitating its control and a good grip on the back of the shoe which favors a quick entry of the foot. It is a lightweight yet very comfortable shoe, with good cushioning and in colors that betray a triathlon-oriented aesthetic and performance.
  • Training shoe: Adidas Sequence 6 is more dynamic, lighter and less stiff than other pronation control models. It is a very stable shoe at slow and medium paces and very comfortable for long runs on asphalt. In my opinion, with the Sequence Adidas has achieved a more dynamic model without sacrificing stability, lighter without sacrificing comfort and with good cushioning and excellent grip. It is a lighter and less wide shoe than its predecessors but with more room for the toes, which together with its good cushioning and excellent comfort make it an ideal model for runners of a certain weight with wide feet who need good pronation control, especially on long runs.
  • Newton Motion a shoe for intense training, fast fartleks and series. A model with which I have been initiated to natural running and I have been able to take advantage of its benefits without sacrificing protection, a shoe with which I have done throughout the season once a week short and intense workouts and that has allowed me to work the running technique in a natural way. With this model I have managed to increase the stride frequency and a lower heel and do series to 3.30 and even something less ..., something that motivates me a lot in training in preparation for important competitions.
