Nike Air Max BW Ultra

The Nike Air Max BW was designed in the 1990s by Tinker Hatfield as part of the Nike International series for runners. One of the main features of this shoe and the one that gave it its initials "BW" is that it has a larger window (big window) to the Air Max unit than its predecessors, the Air Max 90, resulting in greater cushioning in a shoe with a more sober appearance.

After two decades, comes an improvement to the classic, with the release of the Nike Air Max BW Ultra, which incorporates the design and style features of the original version, but with the improvements that only the technological advancement of twenty years has been able to provide Nike.

Features

The Ultra version of the BW features a new upper in which UltraMesh and Hyperfuse technologies come together to provide an upper that not only has an excellent level of ventilation, but is also lighter.

The tongue has been revamped; for the Ultra we will no longer see the super padded tongue that was present in the 90's, but a more minimalist version has been opted for, but one that adapts correctly to the contour of the foot to give a comfortable and secure fit.

The shoes feature a plastic support in the heel area to which larger holes have been added to facilitate ventilation. This support keeps the heel section protected from twisting and gives the shoe a good structure without significantly increasing its weight.

The Nike Air Max BW Ultra 's cushioning features Air Max technology that has proven its shock absorption capabilities, efficiently distributing energy across the midsole surface and allowing it to return more fluidly.

While the shoes have greater visibility of the Air Max capsule than other editions of this same series, the Ultra does not have as large a window as the originals, although this is a purely aesthetic factor that does not diminish the cushioning ability of the shoes in any way.

The BW Ultra is a shoe with good cushioning for running training, but thanks to its improvements that make it lighter and more comfortable, it is also a shoe that we can use for our day to day, when we are looking for comfort.
