Under Armour HOVR Sonic 5 main features
Under Armour, in this update, has opted to make certain changes only in the upper area. If the midsole of its predecessor brought the best of the brand in this aspect, why change it?
The midsole is composed of UA HOVR cushioning that reduces impact, returns energy and helps propel you forward, thus improving our running efficiency. In addition to being more efficient, with this shoe we have the ability to connect with UA MAPMYRUN, which analyzes and tracks your running metrics to help you improve .
As for the upper, as we said before, we can see the biggest changes in this fifth version of the Sonic saga. This silhouette is made with a minimalist design spacer fabric for increased breathability, durability and lightweight containment. Unlike its predecessors like the Under Armour HOVR Sonic 4, the upper of this shoe also features an outer TPU wrap-around fabric that provides lightweight structure and support for a firm fit. There's also carbonic rubber in the heel and toe for traction and durability, and an injected rubber forefoot for increased energy return.
The outsole has been manufactured through a highly abrasion resistant rubber. An optimized structure to successfully complete long distances on asphalt.
