I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised by these Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit 2. A priori, I thought I was going to find a very heavy, chewy and difficult to move model but that has not been the case. I was surprised not only by its exquisite cushioning capacity but also by the construction of its last and width in the metatarsal area.

Important too, this model moves away from the tightness that is so characteristic of Nike silhouettes and as such, I think it can appeal to a wide spectrum of runners. A slightly wider last that is synonymous with more room in the forefoot area which I personally applaud.

Impeccable cushioning feel. ZoomX compound is a guarantor of reactivity and dynamism, you enjoy a plush feeling at all times, from the first kilometer to the last. We should also mention the presence of a piece of TPU (plastic) in the shape of a horseshoe wrapping the heel that we already saw in the original version, Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit, but that has been redesigned and allows you to enjoy extra stability in this area of the shoe.

We cannot conclude this section without mentioning the aesthetics of this model. I personally like it, not only for its attractive color combination but also for the design of its heel.

Possible points for improvement

I consider it to be a rather heavy shoe. Always from my point of view, I consider that there are elements of padding that are superfluous or, at least, should be refined, such as the tongue or the ankle area. Protection yes, but not elements that add unnecessary weight, especially if they are only aesthetic. Understanding that this is a top of the range in cushioning I understand perfectly well its weight, but not through only decorative elements.

The outsole is another element that can be improved for the third version. I think there is still some room for improvement in terms of durability and grip.
