Mizuno Wave Mujin 2

The Wave Mujin family includes Mizuno 's top-of-the-range models for trail running. Mountain runners looking for a shoe with outstanding cushioning, great stability, optimal traction, and with which you can run on any terrain, have in the Mizuno Wave Mujin 2 a successful option for training long runs, and even to run in some ultratrail event.

As with models such as the Wave Kazan 2 or Wave Hayate 2, with a renewed and reinforced upper, the Wave Mujin 2 is able to provide the runner with maximum support and protection, as well as excellent waterproofing. The shoe incorporates the Water Resistant Mesh system.

Midsole and outsole

Mizuno's new concept, XtaticRide, which includes the new Wave Concave, providing greater stability; Midfoot Groove technology, flexion channels whose mission is to improve flexibility, which contributes to better adaptation to the terrain; and X-Studs, in the shape of an X, which guarantee optimal multidirectional grip.

Not to mention the X-10 system in the heel and Wet Traction, which gives the shoe excellent grip on wet surfaces. To all this we must add the rigid EVA platform in the forefoot, which allows the athlete to run with greater protection.

Upper

With the idea of offering greater support for the foot, the upper of the Mizuno Wave Mujin 2 has changed significantly, opting to add lateral protections, in addition to thereinforcements in the toe and heel. On the other hand, the Japanese brand has decided to dispense with the thermosealing.

The Mizuno Wave Mujin 2 are training shoes for neutral footed mountain runners. With a 12-millimeterdrop, they weigh 325 grams for a European size 425, in the men's version, while in the women's version, the shoe weighs 275 grams.
