1 / 6

Inov-8 adds to its catalog a new line of TrailRoc edition, which began to become popular about five years ago thanks to the features that the shoes offered for trail running. Thus, this new series includes the Inov-8 TrailRoc 270, which stands out for its fit; for the characteristics of its sole and midsole; as well as for its lightweight construction. Announced as ideal shoes for hard and rocky technical terrain, these shoes will allow us to move with speed and comfort.

Features of the upper of the Inov-8 Trailroc 270

The upper of the Inov-8 Trailroc 270 is made of mesh and seamless, which contributes to a lightweight appearance that also allows for good ventilation to the interior, keeping feet cool and dry. To reinforce key areas of the shoe, heat-sealed overlays are used on the contour of the forefoot and sides.

In relation to fit, the Inov-8 Trailroc 270 shoes are narrower in the heel and midfoot area to provide greater security, while the forefoot area has more room to allow the toes to move freely. The collar is low, providing ease of movement to the ankles while still protecting the heel section.

Both the collar and tongue are made with substantial but not overly abundant padding. This is why we will notice how the shoe fits closely to the foot without feeling restrictive.

The midfoot section of this shoe incorporates a new system developed by the firm, the MetCradle+ technology consists of a series of supports that simulate a kind of nerves which provide greater support and security for the foot, mainly during lateral movements.

Inov-8 Trailroc 270 Midsole

The midsole of these shoes features a 4-millimeter drop that allows for a very good surface feel and still leaves a good layer of rubber for cushioning. The midsole incorporates the new material designed by the English firm, which has been given the name of PowerFlow+, and is positioned as a new version of PowerFlow, already used in previous editions.

The characteristic of this material is that it is softer and more responsive than the previous one. In this way, some of the midsole's stiffness is lost to achieve greater cushioning and a smoother transition of the stride, without having to sacrifice rebound and energy return, also keeping the weight of the shoe quite light.

Outsole of the Inov-8 Trailroc 270

A highly abrasion-resistant rubber is used for the outsoles, which also provides good traction on technical terrain. The lugs are not very prominent, with 4 millimeters in size. This leads us to believe that the shoes will respond better on compacted dirt with little loose material, something that will also give the shoes a bit more versatility for use on surfaces such as pavement.

These shoes are included in the company's fall catalog and arrive in conjunction with other editions such as the TrailRoc 285 with a slightly more aggressive profile. Thanks to their characteristics, these shoes can be an ideal option for those who are new to trail running or for quick training sessions. It should be noted that the midsole provides the necessary protection, while the upper supports allow you to move freely without sacrificing safety.
