Year 2018

Brooks has launched the new Brooks Revel 2, the second edition of this model. This new version is a versatile running shoe with major changes to the upper, both in appearance and performance. The goal of these changes is to provide superior fit and comfort while maintaining an attractive design. Designed for neutral runners looking for a versatile shoe, maintaining the same aesthetic line as its predecessors that were positioned between the running shoe and the more casual style.

Brooks Revel 2, cushioning and fit

In the midsole, to offer good cushioning, we find the now famous and usual compound in Brooks shoes, BioMogo DNA. Another of the strong points of this compound is that it promises to help the athlete's foot adapt better to the shoe, something that is always well received by the user.

As mentioned before, the upper of the Brooks Revel 2 has been redesigned with a knitted fabric that is more comfortable and adaptable to the user's needs. The overlays have been eliminated to give more prominence to the new fabric. But the minimal and casual style has been maintained. The interior of the upper has been designed to maintain a bootie cut and thus achieve an internal structure with greater support. In addition, a heat-activating material has been added. The user will also notice a greater feel of the plush fabric that has not only an aesthetic function, but also the utility of increasing the shoe's durability.

We continue with the outsole which is composed of HPR rubber to reduce the wear of this part and to obtain greater protection. In this area of the Revel 2 we also find small studs. In the heel area, we see a shock pad to promote cushioning, which we mentioned before, and flexibility. Also to create a smoother transition in each stride and improve the pace.

Finally, in terms of technical specifications, it maintains the high 12mm drop. And in terms of weight, it is the running shoe that remains below the 300 barrier, with 298 gr
