The Brooks Adrenaline ASR 14 shoes are versatile and offer maximum support. Their grippy traction makes them ideal for daily training on roads and trails.

The Adrenaline ASR 14 is designed to withstand the specific conditions of trail running. This trail shoe also features a rugged outsole and a water-resistant upper that can make any runner feel confident on the toughest terrain.

Element Mesh, water-repellent lining

The upper of the Brooks Adrenaline ASR 14 was made from a material called Element Mesh. This type of mesh has been treated with a durable water repellent coating for the purpose of preventing water or moisture from entering the interior. This is one of the most prominent features of this Brooks Running bush running model, making it an option for workouts on wet terrain, or simply when traversing the occasional puddle.

To further ensure the fit of the shoe, Brooks has improved the design of the synthetic overlays. These structures are now formed with a cage-like design that slightly locks the midfoot in place, while also providing more structure to the shoe.

The Element Mesh upper is attached to an inner liner, made from a similar material. Brooks refers to it as Element Linings, and its main purpose is to control moisture transfer within the shoe while providing a comfortable feel.

Midsole with Gel System insert

One of the main technologies that Brooks Running has introduced in the midsole of this trail running shoe is the BioMoGo DNA. The cushioning material is made of a special non-Newtonian fluid. Surprisingly, this fluid becomes a gel-like insert, which adjusts its viscosity according to the amount of force it receives. Therefore, if runners exert more force on the shoe, this gel system becomes stiffer.

With BioMoGo, the midsole is Brooks' star performer. Unlike EVA midsole material, this foam is made from recycled materials and degrades naturally after an effective lifespan.

Inside the midsole is the progressive diagonal slide bar or PDRB. This component is visible from the outside of the shoe and is outlined with a different color. This internal midsole structure helps a lot, especially with those athletes prone to pronation, since it is a stability feature that prevents the foot from rolling.

Optimal flexibility and cushioning

Another component in the midsole that prevents overpronation from occurring is the DRB Accel. It can be seen in the midfoot area and is a component that is made of thermoplastics with different levels of robustness. This unit provides torsional stiffness and balances the support that the dorsal part of the foot receives.

The platform design leans more towards optimal flexibility and cushioning by combining two technologies. The first is the full-length Crash Pad; these are segmented structures that provide superior cushioning, stability and smoothness in the running transition. These segments can move with ease and freedom thanks to another feature that increases flexibility: Groove Omega Flex.

A sock-like lining has also been introduced inside the shoe. This lining is made of BioMoGo foam and is contoured to the natural shape of the foot. It provides additional cushioning and is complementing the already comfortable running experience.

More responsive running experience

Key areas of the outsole are composed of an abrasion-resistant rubber known as Brooks HPR Plus. This material is tough, and adds more durability to the areas most exposed to wear and tear. It also improves the grip and traction of the Brooks Adrenaline ASR 14 without sacrificing flexibility.

Another material Brooks has partnered with HPR Plus is blown rubber. Other areas of the outsole have been crafted with this material. Compared to HPR Plus, this rubber material may not be as robust, but it gives more flexibility to the sections of the foot that need it most. It also helps provide a more responsive experience.

Brooks ' Stable Pod configuration has also been included in the outsole. With some components of this technology found in the midsole, it places the foot in a more efficient position that optimizes movements from heel to toe. In short, this is one of the main features of the Brooks Adrenaline ASR 14, which allows it to offer maximum stability.

Finally, Flextra technology has also been added. A special system in the forefoot of the outsole, which comes to reinforce the other features that improve flexibility, and offers varying degrees of support resulting in a tighter level of malleability.

In the technical specifications chapter, the Brooks Adrenaline ASR 14 feature a 12-millimeter drop, and with a weight of 309 grams for the men's version, while the model is around 245 grams.
