Altra Experience Wild

Altra has presented several new products for the upcoming 2024 season at The Running Event held in Austin (USA), one of the trail shoes that will be a reality in the coming months is the Altra Experience Wild.

The Altra Experience Wild will be a trail runningshoe that will feature some of the most outstanding technologies developed by the brand and without the iconic 0 mm drop characteristic of the brand.

What are the expectations for the new Altra Experience Wild?

One of the first new products from the American brand Altra for 2024 will be the new Altra Experience Wild, which is scheduled for release in early January.

The upper will be made of a seamless mesh to provide good comfort and fit of the foot inside the shoe. The Altra Experience Wild will have a standard last.

We also highlight the upper part of the shoe with the puller that has in the heel area to put on and take off the shoe easily and quickly.

The shoe will have a compression-molded foam midsole that will provide good cushioning while lightweight and the feeling of running effortlessly.

The Altra Experience Wild will feature the MaxTrac technology developed by the brand in the outsole, with a greater presence of rubber in those areas of greater contact with the ground.

The MaxTrac compound will provide a good combination of grip, traction and durability during our workouts and races with the shoe.

Ideal profile of the Altra Experience Wild

This is a shoe designed for medium weight runners who like to run in the mountains at medium and/or fast paces, with a good running technique and neutral stride.

As for the distances that we can run with the shoe, it defends itself well in the middle and long distance for a wide variety of mountain terrain, on trails and forest tracks of little technical difficulty we can squeeze the most out of the shoe at really fast paces.

Technical specifications of the Altra Experience Wild

One of the main novelties of this new model is found in this section, since the Altra Experience Wild has a 4 mm drop, making it the second model of the brand that will not have the mythical 0 mm drop characteristic of Altra.

The profiles of this trail running model are different in the men's and women's versions, at 32 mm in the rear and 28 mm in the front of the men's version and, in the women's version, with significantly lower profiles, 30 mm and 26 mm.

The weight of the shoe will be less than 300 grams, specifically it will weigh 285 grams in the men's version and 246 gramsin the women's version.

In short, this is an elegant shoe with which we will be able to run long distances in the mountains over a wide variety of terrains and which will not have the brand's iconic 0 mm drop.
