The winter months are a captivating - and sometimes freezing - adventure for runners. While cold days, long nights and a host of unpredictable elements threaten to keep runners from leaving the house, for us, they're all part of the game. To protect runners from the weather, Nike introduces its new winter running collection, with options that provide breathability, lightweight, warmth, waterproofing and excellent reflectivity.

Nike Flash Pack Shoes

Inspired by runners who run for miles and miles in the dark winter months, Nike designers created the Nike Flash Pack, a line of reflective and waterproof footwear that protects runners from the weather. This pack consists of six models: Nike LunarGlide 5, Nike Air Pegasus 30, Nike Free 5.0, Nike LunarEclipse 3, Nike Zoom Structure 17 and Nike Zoom Vomero 8.

Each features a unique reflective print that remains subtly hidden during the day and is activated in bright nighttime conditions ensuring runners' visibility.

To bring breathability to these shoes, the designers incorporated a three-layer mesh that repels water while allowing breathability. The tongues are composed of a dense mesh and coated with a durable water-repellent, breathable and waterproof (DWR) coating. The micro plush ankle zipper and tongue lining make this model even warmer.

The pack includes these three models:

  • Nike LunarGlide 5 Flash: The Nike LunarGlide 5 Flash, for runners with mild to moderate pronation, offers exceptional cushioning and protection thanks to Lunarlon, Dynamic Support and Nike Flywire technologies.
  • Nike Air Pegasus 30 Flash: The Pegasus model, with its 30-year history, has become a benchmark in running for its comfort, neutral cushioning and durability.

Its thirtieth edition features a revamped upper for a better fit and a Nike Zoom unit in the heel for low to the ground cushioning and a high level of responsiveness.
  • Nike Free 5 .0 Flash: The Nike Free 5.0's 8-millimeter midsole puts this model in the mid-range of the Nike Free range, somewhere between the feel of barefoot running and a traditional running shoe. Nike Flywire technology offers a dynamic and fully adaptive fit, and Nike Free articulated flex grooves ensure flexibility similar to running barefoot.

Nike Flash Jacket

The Nike Flash Jacket combines waterproofing and reflectivity in a unique and stylish design. In low-light conditions, the reflective material ensures 360-degree reflectivity for runners' visibility. The top and sleeves feature a Storm-FIT 10 design that offers wind and water resistance while allowing for sweat wicking. Small perforations on the lower back provide additional breathability.

The jacket design incorporates details specifically designed for runners. The sleeves have stretch sleeve warmers and the special fixed hood for runners protects the ears from the elements.

Nike Aeroloft

One of the challenges runners face in winter is finding and maintaining adequate thermal protection in unstable weather conditions. In line with the "Nature Amplified" design idea, the Nike Aeroloft 800 vest meets this challenge with an ultra-lightweight insulating layer formed by perforated lining.

This lightweight vest, tested by professional runners in harsh conditions, features an 800 liner anatomically designed to maximize mobility and thermal protection where it is needed most. The runner's movement activates ventilation under the vest, allowing heat to escape from the body through laser-cut holes located between the liner chambers. The sweat-wicking Dri-FIT side and shoulder panels add even more breathability, while the ripstop nylon exterior provides durability and wind protection.

If the temperature rises during your run, the Nike Aeroloft 800 Vest can be easily folded down to carry in your pocket.

Nike Dri-FIT Wool

Nike s popular Dri-FIT technology has proven its ability to keep athletes dry and comfortable by wicking sweat away from the skin to an outer layer of the garment from which it can evaporate. Nike Dri-FIT Wool, for cold weather conditions, is composed of sheep's wool and polyester to provide thermal protection, breathability and mobility. Unlike pure wool, this blend includes Nike Dri-FIT to wick away sweat and moisture.

Dri-FIT to wick sweat away from the body and dry quickly. The flat-seam construction reduces potential chafing and ensures the garments fit the body easily.

Nike Dri-FIT Wool is available in long sleeve, half-zip and crew neck styles for men and v-neck, long sleeve and half-zip styles for women, making it an ideal choice for wearing alone or as a layer.
