Saucony Shadow Original

The Saucony Shadow Original sneakers are one of the creations that marked the history of the company and placed it in the world's eye. They were first introduced in 1985 as running training shoes for high-performance athletes.

The Shadow quickly stood out for its cushioning system, the rubber offered a comfort that era described as a "marshmallow" feel and the upper was designed with a comfortable style that caught the eye at first glance. Today, Saucony has revived this classic, in which they have maintained the features of the original shoe, with extra comfort and stability.

Features

The upper is crafted from a combination of mesh and nylon with suede overlays for durability, proper ventilation and maximum support for the foot throughout the run. The small-hole mesh keeps the foot cool, and the overlay layout gives the upper a retro style that gives the shoe a more streetwear look.

The tongue and collar are padded and give a comfortable fit for the foot. The Saucony Shadow Original sneaker features a crafted EVA sockliner to make the interior more comfortable.

This is complemented by a traditional flat lacing system for a customized fit.

The midsole is made with a layer of EVA rubber, which is responsible for providing the soft foot feel that has made these shoes so distinctive. In addition to comfort, the rubber efficiently absorbs shock and provides support and durability.

In the heel section a TPU piece has been placed which offers additional protection for this section of the foot and makes the shoes ideal for training running and beginner runners who are used to heel first impact.

The outsoles feature a triangular lug pattern that is already characteristic of Saucony and gives the sole better traction. Thanks to the high-strength rubber, the shoes offer a good level of durability.
