AIR JORDAN XXXII

The first Air Jordan was launched in 1985, from the very beginning it was a unique sneaker modeldesigned especially for the man who years later would become one of the best players of all time in basketball history.

In 2017 the brand celebrates 32 years and does so with the launch of a new Air Jordan model. As stated by Michael Jordan himself, "new materials and technologies have always been explored to create the best basketball shoe. In the Air Jordan XXXII, designers were challenged to push the limits while remaining true to the brand's DNA."

In the history of the Air Jordan shoe lineage, there has always been a balance between innovation and style. For example, the Air Jordan IIs are famous for their sophisticated Italian look; the Air Jordan IV's lightweight nubuck and mesh-filled cutouts showed swagger, but were chosen more for the inherent performance benefit; the decision to use a leather upper for the Air Jordan XI was made as much for the material's toughness as for its game-ready style. The list goes on, when analyzing the new Air Jordan XXXII, it's clear that they are a sneaker inspired by the essence of the Air Jordan II, but filled with a fair share of technology and innovation.

UPPER

The Air Jordan Bred pays homage to the iconic red and black that runs deep in the DNA of these shoes, the Air Air Jordan XXXII is elevated to new heights with Flyknit material. Influenced by the design of the Air Jordan II, they feature a mix of iconic materials and details that defined the first basketball shoe of its kind.

Flyknit provides comfort fit and ultra-lightweight support for faster movements. High-strength fibers provide maximum support while being incredibly lightweight, thread replaces stitched or glued panels to drastically reduce weight. The XXXII has a more flexible upper than any other shoe in the Air Jordan line, the knitted structure of the XXXII reduces forefoot stiffness and modernizes the toe box area.

MIDSOLE AND OUTSOLE

The midsole features Flightspeed technology, which has many benefits, among the most important of which are: weight distribution capability: FlightSpeed distributes weight evenly, resulting in optimized energy return with every movement.

It also allows for advanced compression, with each step, the high-tension fibers flex, and return a sense of comfort that is instantly distributed throughout the foot, and FligthSpeed generates explosive power at impact, the energy return allows athletes to unleash the power of these shoes.

In addition, the shoe features a Zoom Air unit in the heel as well as a herringbone outsole, which provides traction and court support like never seen before. The goal with the Air Jordan XXXII is to combine the essence of the Air Jordan II with the best innovation to create a design that stands out both on and off the court.

FINAL WORD

For the first time, the Air Jordan was released worldwide in a mid and low version. The Air Jordan XXXII were released on October 18, 2017, a day branded by Jordan Brand as "MJ Day" as it marks the anniversary of Michael Jordan being handed the alleged letter from the NBA that banned him from wearing Air Jordan sneakers due to them being red and white in color.

The Air Jordan XXXII will undoubtedly become a classic, because of the black and red "Bred" colorway and also because of the "Banned" logo detail that has been placed on the inside of the tongue.
