Adidas NMD_R2

After the resounding success of the Adidas NMD R1 sneakers in 2016, the least that could be expected from the firm era continuity in the features for the second edition, with some improvements in terms of design. However, Adidas has not rested on its laurels and has outdone itself with the release of the Adidas NMD R2; a new edition that has also left the company satisfied to the point of accelerating its launch.

With some changes in relation to the previous edition, it is worth noting that these sneakers remain light, comfortable and with a simple design, which since the predecessor sneaker has captured many fans.

Improvements to the Adidas NMD R2

The design of the shoe has been simplified, Adidas has eliminated the outer side supports and has left only the support located near the heel on the inner side of the shoe, which has also received a design modification, making it more streamlined and longer to give better support to the foot.

To replace the outer supports, a pattern of lines similar to the removed support has been placed directly on the Boost midsole.

The upper fabric has left its smooth appearance to add a pattern of contrasting lines that gives it a more modern style; the fabric used is still that of the previous version so the ventilation and comfort characteristics of the upper remain the same.

The synthetic lacing supports have also been removed, leaving the eyelets directly open on the upper fabric, giving the shoe a smoother appearance. The three lines on the sides are crafted in a heat-sealed synthetic print and are interrupted just before reaching the laces.

The Adidas NMD R2 continues to incorporate a fabric collar that fits the shoe to the ankle like a sock. The low collar construction makes it easy for the shoes to be worn with any type of clothing.

In the case of the midsole it maintains the technologies of the previous edition, with the use, as we have already mentioned, of Boost and EVA foam that have demonstrated a good level of cushioning in different situations and that make the shoe really comfortable to use all day long.

This AdidasNMD_R2 sneaker features a stretch knit upper with iridescent effect for a snug fit and a knit panel on the side. It features boost technology for a more comfortable ride and EVA inserts in the midsole for a pop of color.
