The Topo AthleticSpecter are the new and ambitious bet of the Boston-based company. A shoe endowed with maximum cushioning but with a very light weight that makes it a really interesting option as a mixedshoe for daily training and even competition. Its maximalist profiles and aggressive geometry will make you advance in each stride with comfort and response.
Just by looking at this trail running shoe we realize that it is a very well cushioned shoe, partly thanks to its high profiles and the presence of abundant foam in the midsole. These are the latest generation elements that, together with recycled materials, create a dynamic, lightweight model that is committed to sustainability.
If we have to classify it in any segment, we could say that this Topo Athletic model is a mixed daily trainingshoe that works well in a wide range of paces, from 3:45 min/km to 5:5:30 min/km approximately. Its great cushioning allows running at easy paces, but as soon as the revs increase, the shoe responds with great effectiveness.
Its lightness makes it a perfect choice for neutral runners up to 75-80kg in men and 65-70kg in women. In terms of distances, we believe they have the potential to perform in events ranging from the 10k to the marathon if we are runners with an efficient running technique.
In the midsole we find an EVA foam material that incorporates, in turn, in the upper, a pebax plate, cataloged by the brand as Pebax Powered. The combination of both cushioning systems generates a soft and cushioned feel, as well as encouraging a very reactive stride. The upper, made from recycled materials, is made of a single-layer mesh that gives the shoe a great fit and feel once the foot is inside.
