As the French brand itself claims, the Salomon XA Pro 3D GTX is the ultimate adventure shoe for running in the mountains, because this model is able to adapt to any uneven terrain, and its fame has positioned it as one of Salomon's best sellers.

No matter what weather conditions you find yourself in, the Salomon XA Pro 3D GTX is fitted with Gore-Tex (GTX) membrane, which repels water, preventing it from entering the inside of the shoe. As a result, your feet stay dry and well aerated at all times whilst running. There is also an inner lining and a moulded EVA insole for increased comfort.

Apart from the Gore-Tex, another crucial detail in this Salomon model for mountain running is in the sole, in which we find the characteristic Premium Wet Traction Contagrip system. It combines different types of hardness to provide maximum grip, while helping to maximise the shoe's durability. In the most strategic points of the model there are also several flex grooves and a network of multidirectional studs which aim to provide the best possible traction on uneven terrain.

To give the Salomon XA Pro 3D GTX a higher level of cushioning and stability, the midsole is made of Energycell and dual density EVA. But this section is also reinforced by the 3D Advanced Chassis, which is located between the midsole and outsole, and its main mission is to increase the performance of these trail running shoes from Salomon in terms of protection and safety, traction and energy management. In the upper, the Salomon XA Pro 3D GTX features a breathable mesh, which allows quick drying, in addition to offering maximum resistance to abrasion. Also present are Salomon's exclusive Sensifit and Quicklace systems to ensure a more secure and precise fit.
