Salomon XA Lite

Designed to adapt to the most varied terrain of the trail, the Salomon XA Lite shoes have a lightweight construction and a good amount of protections for the foot that will allow us to move with agility and safety. The design makes an ideal combination to offer cushioning and stability to the feet without the shoes becoming sturdy.

Upper features

The upper is made of a fairly closed mesh that allows good airflow to the inside of the shoe. Some synthetic overlays have been placed on the sides, heel and toe of these shoes to keep the foot protected from contact with loose or sharp material that we find on the road. Seams are used for the joints to reinforce the structure of the shoe and provide greater durability.

To make the shoe fit smoothly, Sensifit technology starts from the midsole to the lacing system so that we can modify the tension in the midfoot area by adjusting the laces so that the shoe adapts to the foot in a personalized way.

As is customary in Salomon, the laces use a quick lacing system which in addition to being comfortable is quite secure. A special pocket is included to store the laces once we have adjusted them, this way we avoid them getting stuck in any obstacle that we find along the way.

The collar and tongue use a material that allows for substantial padding that keeps the foot comfortable and secure without being oppressive.

Midsole

The midsole of these shoes is made of traditional molded EVA rubber , a material that is quite efficient at cushioning the impact of contact with the surface. This material provides a very good energy return to make the toe-off phase smoother and more energetic, and it adapts to the natural contours of the foot for greater comfort.

With 8 millimeters of drop the midsole has enough cushioning to keep the stride comfortable and stable, but also provides a very good surface feel without sacrificing the protection that the feet need when running on uneven terrain.

Outsole

The outsole uses the company's patented Contagrip rubber, which is a highly abrasion-resistant compound that allows the sole to offer greater resistance to wear and tear. The multidirectional lugs are aggressive enough to offer the necessary traction both when running uphill and downhill and on greasy or wet terrain.

Fit

Regarding fit, the Salomon XA Lite shoes have a medium fit that fits standard sizes. This type of fit allows the shoe to accommodate all foot widths; runners with wider feet will benefit from the lateral layer that attaches directly to the laces and allows the midfoot tension to be modified.
