The third version of the brand's most sustainableshoe is now available, the Salomon Index 03, a shoe that, in addition to its great sustainability, also offers great performance.

The Salomon Index 03 is a running shoe that is designed to be disassembled and reinjected into a second life in a Salomon ski boot, after its useful life as a running shoe.

Key features of the Salomon Index 03

Salomon continues its firm commitment to sustainability and the use of recycled materials, with this model as one of the flagships of this commitment, now in its third edition.

Like the Salomon Index 02, in this new version there is an immense advance in comfort and performance thanks to improvements in the geometry of the midsole, the quality of the rubber and the construction of the upper.

It is a shoe designed to be fully recyclable, as it features a TPU bottom unit that can be re-injected into a ski boot after the life of the shoe, plus the polyester upper is fully recycled. The upper fabrics are undyed, further reducing the environmental footprint throughout the production process.

The shoe features the latest InfiniFOAM technology, which features a very light weight and ultra-soft cushioning that combines perfectly with Reverse Camber technology to offer great fluidity in each of our strides.

The Salomon Index 03 has the Road Contagrip compound in the outsole with a very similar design to the previous version in which the small lugs stand out to provide durability and grip, both on asphalt and on harder surfaces.

The materials with which the shoe has been made can be separated for better recycling of the same, in addition, the shoe has a unique unisex design that serves for both women and men.

Ideal profile of the Salomon Index 03

The Salomon Index 03 gains even more lightness in this third version, with a weight of 249 grams, so it is designed especially for lighter runners with neutral stride technique and who need a shoe for their occasional running sessions, it is not a shoe suitable for intense workouts.

In terms of paces and distances, it is a shoe to run at medium and slow paces and without a great accumulation of kilometers during our workouts. Due to its characteristics, it is a shoe that we can use beyond running, also for other sports activities or take to the gym for our fitness sessions.

The drop the shoe is located in the 9 mm, with profiles of 20 mm in the front and 29 mm in the back of the shoe.

Now in its third version, the Salomon Index 03 takes even more seriously its mission of sustainability and performance enhancement during our workouts, a sign that these are two totally complementary concepts.
