Theserecyclable Running shoes made from recycled polyester and TPU material ensure permanent cushioning and shock absorption during running. Here are the first details provided by the brand about its composition.

The Infiniteride foam midsole, made of TPU, provides superior propulsion for maximum performance in day-to-day sessions.

The upper is made of polyester material, as the company has placed special emphasis on the feeling of comfort for the athlete at all times. This is the reason for the choice of this fabric, which also makes the recycling process possible.

Both parts of the shoe are joined together by means of a water-based adhesive to reduce contamination of the materials that make up the model.

As you may already know, shoes are a difficult product to recycle because of the wide variety of materials they are made of. However, it is true that the decision to reuse a product depends on the users themselves.

We do not know what will happen to the footwear industry in terms of sustainability, which is why the French firm is committed to simplifying the separation of materials and ensuring the minimum impact on its return service with this new delivery.

Thus, the first step to start with the recycling of these Salomon Index.01 will consist of downloading and printing a shipping label from the website of the firm to make the transfer of the shoes to the nearest warehouse without shipping costs. Of course, Salomon has been responsible for contacting various centers and recycling partners to minimize the impact of transportation.
