In the segment of Running shoes for overpronators, Mizuno has reference models to follow, such as the veteran Wave Inspire saga, or also the younger Wave Catalyst family. But in this list it is also necessary to make room for the Wave Paradox collection. The latter already has a new update on the market, which corresponds to the nomenclature of the Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 A model that continues to maintain the essence of providing stability and response, reinforced with an optimal cushioning capacity.

The Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 are designed to be worn by runners who need maximum support and support for running, but without this nuance meaning that they have to give up wearing a lighter and more dynamic model for their workouts.

The most radical renovation was already seen in the previous version, in the Mizuno Wave Paradox 3, so in the Wave Paradox 4 it can be said that the changes are more focused on making small adjustments that improve the runner's experience.

More efficient and smoother running

All in all, these Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 aim to provide the runner with a more efficient and smoother run. To that end, this model features Mizunos exclusive Wave platform in a double fan pattern. Thanks to this arrangement, the severe pronator runner has the possibility of correcting his stride, while retaining all the stability and dynamism of the shoe.

In addition, the midsole, which is made with U4icX compound, also reinforces the cushioning capacity of the Mizuno Wave Paradox 4, offering softer landings, which translates into a greater feeling of comfort underfoot in each stride.

On the other hand, the fact that Mizuno 's designers have chosen to incorporate DynamotionFit technology - a 3 upper construction with welded overlays at midfoot height - in the Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 eliminates all stress elements in the upper of the shoe, and therefore the Wave Paradox 4 adapts better to the more natural movement of the foot, resulting in a perfect fit and improved support for the runner who pronates. These aspects - support and fit - are also enhanced by the inclusion of a new anatomical insole upper to improve the feel of each stride.

As in its predecessor, the Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 also has an outsole with the X10 solid rubber compound, the most durable of the Japanese company, which improves traction and grip, on the one hand; and on the other hand prolongs the life of the shoe. The outsole also features Smooth Ride technology, integrated in most of the models in Mizuno's catalog, which favors smoother transitions by minimizing the effects of acceleration and deceleration in each step.

In addition to having a high 12 mm drop, the Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 weighs 320 grams for the men's version and 280 grams for the women's model. These characteristics may make you think that this is a heavy and robust model in favor of offering maximum stability control. However, these Mizuno Wave Paradox 4 behave like a light, flexible and dynamic pronation shoe with improved stability.
