The American firm founded in 1966 and with a consolidated presence in the world of tennis, made the leap to the field of running and triathlons a few years ago. Little by little it has been gaining market share, thanks to its commercial strategy and the quality of its products such as this K-Swiss Blade Light sneaker.

This is a model whose origin comes from the demanding discipline known as triathlon and whose hallmarks are its lightness (263 grams for a size 43 foot), its breathability and excellent drainage.

Although a priori they are shoes designed for training at light paces, it is no less true that they could well be considered as a mixed type of shoe. Depending on the weight of the runner we can give them one or another purpose. The K-Swiss Blade Light have been designed for runners with a neutral stride.

Its upper has an open mesh fabric that provides great breathability and, at the same time, makes the upper extremely comfortable, like the vast majority of K-Swiss shoes. These ultralight shoes have the Flow Cool system implemented to contribute to better ventilation and moisture management.

Regarding its cushioning, it is based on two technologies. On the one hand a kind of blades composed of K-EVA in the midsole and with opposing directions to ensure a flexible and cushioned tread. And on the other hand, the GuideGlide material throughout the midsole and from heel to toe for optimal stability.

As a complement to all of the above, its outsole, made of Aosta II rubber, ensures proper durability but without being one of its strong points. Due to their wide last, they are perfect for runners with wide feet.

Main characteristics of the K-Swiss Blade Light

  • Ultra-lightweight design.
  • Very good breathability.
  • Excellent drainage.
  • Wide last.
