Brooks Pure Connect 2 are among the asphalt shoes that the American brand considers "minimalist or natural running" despite not being a pure minimalist shoe as it has cushioning along the entire sole and a 5 mm drop. Intended for neutral runners, they are ideal for runners looking for a transition shoe towards minimalism or pure natural running. Also for pure minimalists who want to face long competitions such as marathons with some protection. The fit is very good in the midfoot area (something that purists will not like) but the forefoot and especially the big toe are left free. The last is wider in that area and provides a feeling of freedom at toe-off and a very close to "natural" feel at landing. The Brooks Pure Connect 2 uses the cushioning DNA and incorporates BioMoGo in the midsole that adapts the cushioning to the biomechanics of each runner according to weight and speed. PureCadence offers less material with the same amount of technology applied. The wider NAV band enclosed within the lateral cushion, and the reinforced heel secure the foot (for those who are just starting out barefoot and still heel). The PDRB® interior helps prevent over-pronation.
