While both Heart Rate Monitors & Sports Watches from the Finnish house of Kempele incorporate Polar s cutting-edge Precision Prime technology to improve heart rate from the wrist. Or the advanced training metrics Training Load Pro for a detailed understanding of the performance of each athlete. Polar Vantage V, most important features

As with the Polar Vantage M, this new Polar Vantage V is also presented as a multisport sports watch, and has a myriad of sports profiles, exceeding the figure of 130 sports.

The Polar Vantage V also features a lightweight, attractive and comfortable design, which brings with it integrated GPS/GLONASS navigation systems, as well as barometric altitude function (ascent and descent slope). And of course, the optical sensor from the wrist, something that Polar has already included in its successful Polar M430, Polar M200 or Polar Polar M600 series, among others, but with the added valor that the Vantage family includes Polar Precision Prime technology for maximum accuracy and reliability.

Of course this Vantage V is not far behind, and also includes the color screen and water resistance. Now, one of the main differences with respect to the Vantage M is that the Vantage V has a longer battery life of more than 40 hours of continuous training, compared to the 30 hours of duration of the Vantage M

Another notable difference between the two devices is that the Vantage V incorporates a high-resolution touch screen (240x240 pixels) with Gorilla Glass, and size of 1.2" inches. It also weighs slightly more than the Vantage M, as this top-of-the-range device weighs 66 grams, and is slightly larger with dimensions of 46x46x13 mm.

Polar Precision Prime, a remarkable improvement in heart rate tracking

"We are excited to introduce Polar Precision Prime, the only heart rate technology that integrates three types of sensors to offer the most advanced heart rate on the wrist," said Sanna Merio, Segment Manager of Polar, and thanks to this, the Finnish brand has managed to make a significant leap in quality by implementing a single sensor and a custom intelligent algorithm, which translates into greater accuracy.

Thus, the operation of this Polar Precision Prime system in the Vantage series is based on the use of new optical LEDs, and that allow to extract a series of specific data from the various layers of the skin. Including the 3D accelerometer, this sports watch also integrates several electrodes to control how the contact between the sensor itself and the athlete's skin occurs.

All this technological landing translates into a faster response time, greater sensitivity of accuracy, and also a higher reliability when recording the heart rate measurement from the wrist.

Outstanding Smart Coaching features: Training Load Pro and Recovery Pro

In the quest to meet the needs of the most demanding multisport athletes, the Finnish brand has worked closely with endurance athletes to develop the best performance in its exclusive and most advanced Smart Coaching functions. These are: Training Load Pro and Recovery Pro.

The Training Load Pro feature is something that has never been seen before, combining the measurement of cardiovascular work, muscle load and perceived work, which is displayed holistically and at a glance. In this way, the balance between effort and tolerance can be measured so that the athlete knows his or her own limits.

Speaking of measurement, and as an added bonus, the Polar Vantage V also includes the interesting function of Recovery Pro, consisting of providing all the data relating to the balance between training and recovery.

With this, the joint work of the Training Load Por and the Recovery Pro are constituted as a personalized training guide, which undoubtedly has a direct impact on the athlete's performance.

Running Power, efficient metrics to reach goals

On the other hand, the Polar Vantage V is a pioneer in its segment, because it is the first training device that presents the measurement of running power from the wrist. Until now era necessary to use an external sensor for the athlete to have the ability to know their efficiency in each workout. The Vantage V integrates this functionality.

The operation of this running power unifies various running metrics, offering a valor that represents the power that the runner generates in each stride he or she takes and in each kilometer he or she runs, thus making training more efficient in order to achieve the goals set.

To all this, and as also presented in the Vantage M, the multisport watch Polar Vantage V include additional functions of Smart Coaching, such as: Running Program, Running Index, Polar Sleep Plus, training parameters in swimming, and daily activity and permanent heart rate.

In addition, a coach-athlete feedback is established that will benefit both to try to adjust and optimize the training parameters.

In addition, all reports can be viewed as a yearly, monthly or weekly evaluation.
