What's new with the renewed Garmin Forerunner 265?

The launch of the renewed Garmin Forerunner 265 represents a change of strategy of the American brand, because, as we already know, they launch new versions every year - the Garmin Forerunner 245 was released in April 2019, while the Garmin Forerunner 255 was launched in June 2022 - now there is a change of course, and just a year later, Garmin announces the premiere of the Forerunner 265.

Designed by and for runners, the Garmin Forerunner 265 has as its primary mission to help all types of athletes set a planning and preparation tailored to overcome all their limits, and without leaving connected at any time.

What's new in the updated Garmin Forerunner 265?

Compared to its previous versions, it can be said that this new Forerunner 265 update is an improved version of the Garmin Forerunner 255 Music. So it does not represent a radical change, but there are interesting new features that need to be put in valor:

  • Inclusion of AMOLED screen, for the first time in the Forerunner family.
  • Available in two different sizes of 42mm (Garmin Forerunner 265s) and 46mm (Garmin Forerunner 265).
  • Increased battery life of up to 13 days in smartwatch mode, and up to 20 hours in active GPS mode.

There is also talk of a new Training Readiness feature, a metric that will allow the athlete to prepare for training, and thus maximize their efficiency in each physical activity session.

On the other hand, like the Garmin Forerunner 965, this Forerunner 265 includes a number of features that will serve to optimize both your training sessions and your rest periods:

  • Morning report with data on your night's rest, as well as the day's training outlook, adding information on heart rate variability, ensuring you better control over your recovery and well-being.
  • Running widget with tips, prediction and training planning adjusted to your runner profile.
