Agnes Tirop breaks the women's 10K record with the Adizero Adios Pro 2

The best long-distance runners sponsored by the adidas brand ran this Sunday, September 12, 2021 to try to break the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon records, in the ADIZERO: ROAD TO RECORDS event.

10K road world record holder Rhonex Kipruto, two-time 5K world champion Muktar Edris, 5K world cross country champion and 5K world silver medalist Senbere Teferi, as well as two-time 10K world bronze medalist Agnes Jebet Tirop were among Sunday's participants. Also, long-distance runner Peres Jepchirchir, winner of the Tokyo Marathon at the last Olympic Games and world record holder in the women's only Half Marathon, also attended the event as a guest.

The women made the difference. Agnes Jebet Tirop broke the women's 10K world record with a time of 30 minutes and 1 second, while Senbere Teferi did her part by breaking the women's 5K record.
