Le Coq Sportif Omicron

Keeping its inspiration in Running shoes, the French company wanted to give a modern twist to its new catalog with the creation of the le coq sportif OMICRON edition, a shoe with a contemporary style but that at the same time does not leave aside its identity as a sports shoe, with a good incorporation of technologies that offer excellent performance.

Features

The shoe has a rather striking upper when it comes to its design. The construction is made of honeycombed nylon and synthetic suede, which are bonded together using heat seals to provide greater durability, but also allow for the flexibility and comfort that the foot needs while running.

Some holes in the heel area keep the shoe ventilated and provide a cool environment for the feet no matter how long the shoe is worn. The lacing of the shoe by means of flat laces allows for a more comfortable closure; the lacing system attaches directly to one of the side sections of the shoe so that we can customize the midfoot fit to fit the width of the athlete's foot without restriction.

A special feature of this shoe is that it has a built-in bootie which helps to provide a better closure and provides greater comfort. This sockliner is made of Lycra for a snug fit around the ankle. In this section of the shoe, a tricolor detail has been placed in reference to the French flag, a distinctive feature that the brand has incorporated in all editions of this shoe.

The midsole of the OMICRON uses an EVA rubber that provides pretty decent cushioning. The cushioning is more generous in the heel area, which helps to efficiently absorb the shock produced by contact with the surface.

The soles are made of a highly abrasion resistant rubber; the design chosen for the soles is a pattern of rectangular pads placed around the contour of the shoe which allow to keep the shoe flexible and also add points to the cushioning; in the center there is a wide groove which helps to promote natural foot movement.
