It is possible that this running shoe is somewhere between a fast and a rolling shoe, because despite incorporating the carbon plate, its high profiles provide a very high level of comfort. With an aggressive and unusual aesthetics, we are talking about a model that will probably have a specific audience, which will be that light and medium weight runner who needs a shoe to run at medium and high paces for many kilometers.
Saucony Endorphin Elite, what awaits us
Everything seems to indicate that Saucony will incorporate a new type of foam in these Endorphin Elite. The PWRRUN HG foam will replace the existing PWRUN PB, which will be lighter and more capable of recovering its shape after each step. This leads us to believe that in addition to having a high level of cushioning and responsiveness, the shoe will have a very light weight.
As for the upper, we can say that it is a very peculiar structure, probably never seen before. It is a very thin material, which if it were not for a kind of tape that will be on the sides, it would be quite unstable. The incorporation of the straps will allow the foot to feel snug and stable, very necessary in high profile models.
We do not know the compound of the sole, although a priori it seems that it will be very similar to its family mates, the Endorphin Pro 3 or Endorphin Speed 3. This leads us to think that it will have a good performance in all types of terrain and conditions, but above all, a great grip on dry asphalt.
Saucony Endorphin Elite, new option for the marathon?
While waiting for more exact information about these Saucony Endorphin Elite, we suspect that they will perform best in the long distance, from the half marathon onwards. Runners with better technique will be the ones who will get the most out of it, since despite being a very cushioned shoe, its structure invites to run on the forefoot.
