The On Cloud Tri 1 is a high-performance carbon plate racing shoes still under development.
The On Cloud Tri 1 is expected to be an evolution of the Cloudboom Echo model, which was used as the basis for the development of the prototype worn by Kona 2022 champion triathlete Gustav Iden.
The structure and technology of the Cloud Tri 1 have not yet been revealed in detail. However, they are likely to inherit features from other On models, such as CloudTec technology and Speedboard for better propulsion.
The shoe model has been designed specifically for Gustav Iden and has been tested in high-level competitions.
Gustav Iden has used this model in several competitions, including the Ironman World Championship and the World Triathlon Championship Series event in Abu Dhabi.
Protests have arisen over Iden's use of the shoes in competition due to concerns about his compliance with World Triathlon and World Athletics rules. The rules stipulate that the shoes must be available to all athletes on the open retail market for a period of four months before they can be used in competition, and that the sole must be no thicker than 40mm and contain no more than one embedded rigid plate. Iden's shoes are currently being tested by World Athletics for compliance with these standards.
Please note that this is a pre-sheet based on information available to date and that some details may change as more information about the On Cloud Tri is revealed.
