Year 2014

Nike continues to focus on freedom of movement, with very light Running shoes with good support and very flexible. The Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit 2014 are more flexible than the Nike Free 5.0 and also have more cushioning than the Nike Free 3.0.

As a novelty, they incorporate a Flyknit upper, recognized in the brand for its excellent fit and that allow a lot of mobility and breathability. Its sole has a 6 mm drop, a correct cushioning for runners up to medium weight.

They are multifunctional shoes. You can run with them up to 10 km at medium paces. Its low profile forces you to have a progressive adaptation to this type of footwear to avoid discomfort or even injury.

Flex grooves throughout the sole that facilitate the flexibility of the shoe and a movement similar to barefoot running.

Excellent support

The Flyknit upper is made of a one-piece layer of polyester yarn, integrated. It is seamless and incorporates stretch zones, offering lightweight support and an anatomical fit. Embroidered Flywire cables wrap around the midfoot for extra support where it's needed most.

Highly flexible

New hexagonal flex grooves are cut into the outsole with a hot knife and wrap the flank to allow for more natural movement of the foot in all directions. Secondary cuts intersect with the flex grooves to provide even greater flexibility.

A more natural stride

The heel mimics the shape of the foot to create a more natural strike zone. Midfoot landing.

Dropp

Featuring a 6mm dropp (heel to forefoot height), the Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit brings you closer to the ground for a more natural feel, while offering a combination of cushioning and support.

Other features include

Nike Flyknit tongue with mesh for easy foot entry

Discreet sockliner conforms to the curvature of the foot for support and comfort

Stiff embroidered heel for structure and support

Asymmetrical lacing system reduces lacing pressure on the top of the foot

Waffle lug outsole for improved shock absorption and responsiveness

Weight: 200 gr in a men's size 435 EU and 187 grams in a women's size 37 EU

The Nike Free is different from traditional running shoes. They are designed to allow your feet to move freely and naturally, so your muscles will work a little harder than with other types of shoes. Nike advises you to get used to them gradually to make your experience safer, more efficient and satisfying.
