Year 2016

The New Balance 910 v3 is the third edition of a series of shoes that New Balance has dedicated to trail running, and is characterized by its combination of cushioning, protection, traction and a good response to different conditions. It is one of the editions of shoes from the American company that will not disappoint those looking for an all-terrain model, and whose versatility is beyond doubt, because it can be used both in training, racing or other types of exercise.

Since the second edition of these shoes New Balance has decided to keep a drop of 8mm, which although it is not too low to give a total feeling of the ground that could cause discomfort, it offers an ideal balance between cushioning with good protection and a feeling of contact with the ground to be taken into account.

Midsole with REVLite, 30% lighter

Taking full control of the midsole, the REVlite material is New Balance 's own version that offers the same level of cushioning and protection as the conventional foam found in other shoes, but at a 30% lighter weight.

More adaptable upper

The synthetic mesh placed in the upper of the New Balance 910 v3 now offers increased ventilation, but maintains its waterproof and protective characteristics. The entire upper construction is now softer, which helps to better adapt to the runner's foot.

In addition to this, New Balance offers a rubber toe protector to prevent toe injuries from loose material or rocks that may be encountered during trail running.

This is complemented by the design of the tongue which is designed to prevent small stones or other debris from entering the shoe. One of the details that is still present in this edition is the width of the tongue, which for many runners who used the previous version was too narrow, causing some movement of the tongue during the run. This detail is now solved with an extra lace hole, which fixes the tongue better and gives the shoe a higher fit as if we were wearing a bootie.

Multidirectional lugs for all types of terrain

While you may have the idea that prominent and aggressive lugs are best for trail running, the New Balance 910 v3 proves that you can have a middle ground between lug size and maintaining the grip and traction that challenging terrain requires.

The lugs are designed in multi-directional patterns to facilitate grip on all types of terrain. The outsole is made with a "sticky" rubber component that maintains grip, even on asphalt terrain and has already been used by New Balance Balance in other editions of its trail running shoes.

Between the outsole and the midsole there is a "Rock Plate" which is an additional layer of rubber that prevents any sharp object from penetrating through the midsole and hurting the foot.

Although the New Balance 910 v3 still retains many of the features of its predecessor -Nb 910 v2, the American company has focused on providing a lighter shoe with better grip, offering renewed comfort on trail running routes.
