In the segment of trail running shoes for long distance races, La Sportiva has always been committed to present the user with models to meet different needs and objectives, but with the common denominator of a firm chassis and great traction to make kilometers and more kilometers. Read models such as the Ultra Raptor, the Mutant and the Bushido, to give just three examples.

The most outstanding aspect of the La Sportiva Akasha lies in its outsole, which has the FriXion XT dual density compound, and also includes the Trail Rocker system, which contributes to a more natural foot strike. In addition, the XT rubber reinforcements, both in the front and in the heel area, make La Sportiva Akasha more durable and resistant.

The midsole incorporates the STB Control system, already present in La Sportiva Bushido, providing greater stability, but also a more comfortable fit. In addition, by not having heavy stabilizers in the central area of the shoe, La Sportiva Akasha is a very light shoe, with a drop of 6 millimeters and a weight of 330 grams (278 grams for the women's model).

Protection is reinforced with the Dynamic ProTechTion system in the toe area.

Another detail to take into account in the La Sportiva Akasha is its wide last, softer and with great breathability. Although, given its low profile, this model of the Italian firm is designed for long distances, but on less technical terrain, since it has less grip and protection, compared to other models of the brand. On the other hand, La Sportiva Akasha is a lighter shoe with great shock absorption capacity.
