The ASICS Gel Pursue 3 offers an ideal combination of light weight and versatility for runners, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a training shoe that is capable of handling long distances and speed without much trouble. These shoes offer superior comfort, good arch support and smoother transitions that will make them a good companion for daily workouts.

Upper features

The mesh upper design offers excellent ventilation for this third edition of the Pursue, keeping feet cool no matter how long the shoes are worn. Thanks to the seamless upper, there is less risk of irritation and the shoe fits the foot better.

The tongue and collar are adequately padded and allow the foot to comfortably lock into the shoe. ASICS adds to the comfort of this shoe by placing a Comfordry sockliner, which is also used for its antibacterial properties that help prevent odors.

As design details, the ASICS logo on the sides and some other additional details of the shoe are made with reflective material, which helps improve the runner's visibility in low-light conditions.

As for the fit, the ASICS Gel Pursue 3 features a narrow fit, just like the previous model. This type of fit allows for better securing the heel and midfoot area, while maintaining good room in the forefoot section so that toes can move easily and air can circulate better inside the shoe. As always, this type of fit is best for runners with narrow or medium width feet.

Midsole

In the midsole of these shoes we find the latest technology from ASICS, the FluidRide rubber. One of the qualities of this rubber is that it is very light and provides exceptional rebound, without sacrificing the durability needed in a training shoe. This rubber covers the entire midsole section, so the heel-to-toe transition is improved.

For enhanced cushioning, the heel and forefoot area features ASICS Gel technology, which provides greater shock absorption and increases the shoe's responsiveness. A TPU reinforcement in the midfoot area adds stability during twisting.

Outsole

ASICS has made a combination of rubbers for the sole design of the ASICS Gel Pursue 3 First we find a traditional AHAR rubber in the heel area and other areas prone to abrasion from wear, thus increasing the shoe's durability. To complement this, blown AHAR rubber is used in the forefoot area to provide increased traction.

With a fairly prominent vertical groove that converges with other deep grooves located in the forefoot area, these shoes manage to offer runners greater flexibility.

Most of the changes we will see in this shoe are concentrated in the upper section which is now softer and more forgiving, but without neglecting the support the feet need. Thanks to these features the shoe is able to offer more comfort, which is complemented by the midsole design that helps improve the transition throughout the running cycle.
