And it will do it even with a version made especially for the occasion: the GEL-DS TRAINER Barcelona in commemoration of the Barcelona Marathon. Attention collectors! This is an exclusive model of which only a total of 1,000 units have been produced. 600 pairs of shoes for male runners and 400 models for female runners.

Despite being a limited edition, this eye-catching model is based on the new Asics DS-Trainer 20. It reproduces all of its technical features, highlighting sections such as breathability, lightness and comfort. However, versatility is another of the most outstanding aspects of the DS-Trainer 20, as it can also be used for speed training, and is suitable for all runner profiles.

Outstanding new features

Compared to its predecessor, the Gel DS-Trainer 20 comes with a new mesh, much lighter and more comfortable. This improvement has been introduced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the DS-Trainer 20 on the market.

The mesh also stands out for its elasticity and optimal fit, giving the runner greater stability and comfort. And of course, the incorporation of Guidance Line technology contributes to increased efficiency in each stride.

And another fact to reflect, as Asics confirms, the midsole of the Gel DS-Trainer 20 is 15% lighter than the previous version, and even its weight has been reduced by 10 grams. The weight of the men's model is 240 grams, while the women's version is 195 grams. And for both genders, the drop is 10 millimeters.
