Year 2015

The new Asics 33-FA is a shoe halfway between the 33-DFA and 33-M models from the Natural 33 collection of the Japanese company, inspired by the number of joints in the human foot. With a weight of 260 grams and a 4 mm drop, it is aimed at runners with a neutral stride and weighing under 70 kilograms who wish to use it for daily training.

Fluid Foam midsole and less drop

The main novelty of this shoe lies in the elimination of the mythical GEL used by Asics in the midsole of its shoes, in favor of a new foam called Fluid Foam of low density with which a greater consistency and uniformity is obtained both in the section related to cushioning.

Another difference that concerns this new midsole of the Asics 33-FA is its 4 mmdrop, since the predecessor models of this 33 collection had a height difference between heel and toe that ranged between 6 and 10 mm. This change introduced by Asics in the shoe allows you to have a more natural feel when running.

FluidAxis outsole

On the outsole side, this 33-FA model incorporates FluidAxis material consisting of deep flex grooves that align with the joint axes of your feet. Through this pioneering design, the shoe adjusts to different terrain changes and to the changing position of the foot during the stride. In addition, its AHAR+ blown air rubber compound provides extra durability and cushioning.

Seamless upper

As for the upper of this running shoe, Asics has opted to use a very soft and seamless double mesh, making the upper highly breathable, lightweight and comfortable. On the other hand, the last of the 33-FA has been designed with a more rounded shape to better adapt to the contours of the foot.
