With the launch of the Garmin Forerunner 735XT, which replaces the 920XT model, advanced training in any sport discipline is now within reach of both the elite athlete and the popular athlete, as it is a complete multisport GPS training watch, and includes advanced options to become a better athlete, offering specific data on activities such as running, cycling and swimming, and in which the user will have statistics as specific as stride length and ground contact time, among others.

Although initially designed for triathletes who analyze every detail of their training and competitions, the Garmin Forerunner 735XT is also presented with a double pack of running and triathlon. That is, the new device from the Kansas firm is compatible with the HRM-Run monitors for runners, and with the HRM-Tri and HRM-Swim for triathlon and swimming enthusiasts. Although they are accessories that are sold separately -although there are models that do include it-, this compatibility increases the performance of this GPS sports watch.

Garmin s first multisport watch with "Elevate" technology

Like the Garmin Forerunner 235 and the Garmin Vívoactive HR, among others, the Forerunner 735XT also includes the innovative Garmin Elevate technology, which allows heart rate to be measured from the wrist, and continuously. Thus, the athlete can now dispense with the typical chest strap to know their own vital signs.

In addition to displaying the heart rate, it is also possible to monitor the beats per minute, in real time and through a color indicator. With this integrated advancement, the Forerunner 735XT becomes Garmins first multisport watch with Elevate technology.

Although with the Garmin Elevate system, the Forerunner 735XT can perfectly cover all the needs during a competition, but this gadget is also compatible with the chest strap, and this combination is a good resource for more advanced metrics in both training and recovery times. We are talking about running dynamics (HRM-Run), which can be stride length and vertical ratio, among others; VO2 max and lactate threshold estimation functions; and also underwater heart rate in swimming (Tri and HRM-Swim).

And for the triathlete or athlete who still wants more, the Garmin Forerunner 735XT can be connected to the Strava Live Suffer Score platform -requires Premium service- to analyze the heart rate, but at the same time score the suffering and effort.

Automatic multisport function

Whether running, even on a treadmill; cycling; trail running; cross-country skiing, swimming, pool and/or open water; hiking; and also strength training, another of the great features of the Forerunner 735XT is that you can change activity with great ease, thanks to its entire repertoire of integrated activity profiles. And to top it all off, the automatic multisport function lets you switch from duathlon to triathlon, and from training to competition, at the touch of a single button.

On the other hand, the combination of the activity tracker -accounting your steps, calories and sleep-, smart notifications and automatic uploads to Garmin Connect position the Garmin Forerunner 735XT as one of the smartwatches designed exclusively for athletes. This latest generation training device also grants the possibility of customizing it, to the consumer's taste, with its multiple watch screens, at zero cost, apps and data fields from its exclusive Connect IQ platform.

And one last detail that is interesting for those who love to pedal, the Garmin Forerunner 735XT is also compatible with Garmins Varia series of cycling signaling systems, from smart bike lights to rearview radar.
