Features of the Reebok Legacy Lifter

The shoes have a combination of perforated leather and mesh. The mesh is perforated to provide added coolness and ventilation. Leather has long been known as the material of choice for weightlifting shoes because of its strong properties. It also looks much better than traditional training shoes. Being a classic sport, weightlifting tends to follow the past rather than look to the future.

Legacy Lifter features wide and high 22mm thick heel and extra-strong TPU clip for maximum stability on heavier lifts. Overlapping straps create a full foot wrap, while the shoe's breathable upper, cushioned midsole and anatomical footbed offer ample support to produce maximum power.

The grippy rubber on the Legacy Lifter outsole has been battle-tested for seven years of proven traction and protection. The collar features a 100% ETC antimicrobial lining (to reduce heat and abrasions) and a full foam lining with an Achilles heel pad for comfort. The heel of the shoe provides a stable platform to lean on, it's everything you could ask for in a weightlifting shoe.

Top of the line weightlifting shoes

The weight of a weightlifting shoe is quite significant. Depending on the athlete, either a lightweight shoe or a heavy shoe is preferred. Most people like a heavier shoe like the Nike Romaleos, which allows the athlete to feel sucked to the floor. The Legacy weighs in at 575 grams. For comparison, some of the heaviest weightlifting shoes on the market today are the Nike Romaleos, which weigh around 475 grams.

Therefore, the Reebok Legacy Lifter weightlifting shoes take the prize for the heaviest high-end weightlifting shoes on the market today. Is this a bad thing? Not at all, it's all based on preference. The Legacy s have a lot of great features. But, in the end, it only matters if they all add up to help a lifter overload their weight. In summary the highlights of these shoes are:

  • Weight: 575 grams.
  • Heel: 22 mm drop3"), 82 mm wide.
  • Extra hard TPU clip for stability.
  • Full foot wrap: overlapping straps for lockdown.
  • Anatomically shaped with natural contours for support, maximum power.
  • Flexcage protection.
  • Ortholite antimicrobial insole.
  • Rubber outsole.
  • ETC collar + Achilles pad.
  • Color: white/black.
