Nike Free x Metcon

The saga of the best-selling Metcon model continues with the new Nike Free x Metcon. A new version of Crossfit trainers for men that have been designed by the American house for different objectives such as short races, bootcamps, strength training and routine workouts. The main features of this new model are flexibility and lightness while providing durability and stability to the shoe. It is a new edition that mixes the well-known Nike Free model with the most applauded training line, Metcon. Continuing with these aspects, it highlights the conditional lightness linked to the Free range, this model being the lightest of the saga but maintaining the hardness that a Crossfit trainers demands.

Nike Free x Metcon, the best of both lines

We start with the midsole, in this part what strikes us most is that it is composed of a dual density that combines a soft foam with a firmer foam for cushioning, comfort and superior stability. An innovative system from Nike that we did not find in previous models, such as Metcon 3 or Metcon 4.

We continue with the upper, where we find big changes. It stands out above all the new compound with which it has been made, TPU. It is a lightweight mesh fabric that favors the stability we mentioned in the midsole. Also, this technology increases the durability of the Nike Free x Metcon and provides flexibility to promote the natural movement of the foot in each exercise or stride. In addition, as it is a lighter fabric, it reduces the weight of the shoe. Thus, this model is the lightest of all Metcon editions. Another renewed aspect is the laces that incorporate Flywire technology for a superior fit while helping to maintain the natural movement of the foot. The inside of the shoe forms a sock-like structure.

The outsole is composed of a star and hexagonal pattern with different volumes which ensures firmness and cushioning. We also see a rubber reinforcement on the sides that contributes to increase the resistance of the sports shoe.

The Nike Free x Metcon have been released recently and so far we can find them in four colorways: black, white with pale grey/voltiom, clay green/intense jungle and grey with platinum/white.
