Year 2014

The 'all-out war' between Running shoes manufacturers to top the sales charts is an advantageous circumstance for the regular runner, as they are obliged to offer a specific shoe with the best performance. And that translates into innovation and development.

In this chapter, Skechers presents one of the latest novelties on the market. Aware of the importance of safety and visibility for runners, the American company has focused all its efforts on improving the Nite Owl model. And they have hit the right key, as this shoe comes with photoluminescence technology, making the shoe glow in dark conditions.

The important thing to note is that the higher the luminescence charge, the longer the shoe's light will last. In addition, this charge can be carried out in both natural and artificial light.

This photoluminescence technology, the Skechers Nite OWl 2.0, is present in its reference models such as: GoRun 3, GoRun Ride 3 and GoRun Ultra. The men's version stands out for its lime color, while the women's model has been designed in a fuchsia tone.

Outstanding features in the models

It stands out for its breathability and stability, but the most striking new feature is its new Power-prene upper. This is made in 3 layers in the upper, in order to provide a more optimal fit and greater freedom of movement in the toes. Perfect for use in transitional running, and approaching the Natural Running experience.

GoRun Ride 3

Although it retains the GOImpulse sensors, they are repositioned to improve transition and offer greater stability control. The upper is made with Way Stretch Mesh, a lightweight, seamless mesh to give the foot space while providing great fit and flexibility.

Its update comes with 65% more cushioning. It is suitable for long distances, and also for runners looking for maximum cushioning.

The common denominator of the three models lies in one of Skechers ' basic principles, which is to promote midfoot strike. In addition, Resalyte technology is also present, a cushioning that allows memory retention to offer more lightness. To which we must add the minimum drop of 4 mm to achieve an almost neutral position, although the minimalist experience can be greater, if you choose to remove the inner insole.

Another detail not to be forgotten in the Nite OWl 2.0 is centered on the GOimpulse sensors, which confer greater traction control for a more reactive run.

The new Nite Owl from Skechers is one of the most successful options for running at night with safety and great visibility.
